Fifteen people on our roster, and the partners we are searching for on their behalf.
Fifteen open searches · Updated September 2026 · North America
I have been matchmaking for twelve years. I started Lyons Elite in 2014 and we now work across North America. The work is simple to describe and difficult to do: we have exceptional clients who are searching, and we need exceptional people for them to meet.
Our matchmaker network is a private, vetted database of single professionals. Membership is free. Our clients retain us to find them a partner, we search the network on their behalf, and the people we introduce are never charged a fee.
Below are fifteen members of our current roster, described the way we would describe them to you on a call. If you read one of these and think that sounds like the kind of person you should be sitting across from, complete a profile.
Lyons Elite matchmakers work across Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Vancouver, Montreal, Dallas and San Francisco.

This month’s featured members
Engineering degrees from the University of Toronto and successful enough at twenty-eight that most people assume he is older. He builds and races cars, and spends most free weekends on his family’s two hundred acres hiking, riding, and being outside. Calm, grounded, dry sense of humour, and the person his friends call when something breaks. He is looking for a woman who is warm and outgoing, can hold a real conversation and tease him a little, and wants children within the next few years.
Sold his second company two years ago and now advises founders and invests. Flies coast to coast most weeks. Cooks seriously, runs the Bay to Breakers every year, and rides a motorcycle he refuses to sell. He is looking for a woman with her own momentum, someone whose calendar is as interesting as his. A proud father of two who is not looking to have more children.
Owns his practice, spends every weekend from May to October on the water, and skis the rest of the year. He is the uncle who shows up to every recital. Warm, funny in a dry way, and completely uninterested in game-playing. He is looking for someone active who enjoys trying new things and is open to children and settling down. Politically he leans conservative and would like someone comfortable with that.
Built her company from her kitchen table into national retail. Snowboards, does Ironman relays, reads dozens of books every year. She has been called intimidating by men who were, in fact, intimidated. She is looking for someone who finds ambition attractive, ideally entrepreneurial in spirit, tall enough to suit her five foot ten, and genuinely in love with adventure.
Divorced, two kids in university, and finally in a season where his time is his own. Sails, collects contemporary art, speaks three languages. He is looking for a woman in her forties or fifties who wants a real companion for the next chapter.
Climbs, trail runs, and has a rescue dog she brings everywhere. She works nights, which has destroyed her dating life for years. Everyone who meets her assumes she is taken. She is open on type, somewhere between thirty-five and fifty, and cares most about finding a good, kind human she can have fun with.
Widowed four years ago after several years of caretaking. Plays tennis daily, has backed two restaurants he did not want to see close, and is close with his adult daughter. He is looking for kindness first and everything else second.
Weekends at a farmhouse she renovated herself, horses, and a standing Sunday dinner she hosts for friends. She is formidable in a courtroom and soft in her own kitchen. She wants a man who is secure enough to enjoy both.
Retired from operating, still cycling a hundred kilometres a week, still on four boards. He splits winters in Arizona and summers on the coast. He is looking for a woman to travel with, cook with, and build a genuinely excellent next thirty years alongside.
A brilliant producer whose films you have seen. Bilingual, deeply social, and the person everyone invites. She wants marriage and children and is unembarrassed about saying so on a first date. She is Indian and comes from a very close family, so marriage and tradition matter to her, though she is entirely open on nationality. She is looking for someone equally ambitious and kind who wants to start a family.
Three kids he shares fifty-fifty. Plays in a hockey league with the same friends he had at nineteen. Steady, generous, unflashy. He is looking for a woman who wants a full house and a quiet but solid life inside it.
Proudly Jewish, runs a large team, keeps an apartment in Brickell he escapes to monthly, and trains for half marathons between deals. He is looking for a woman accomplished enough that his career is interesting to her rather than a problem to manage. He wants someone ready to settle down and start a family, who loves to talk and holds her own strong opinions.
Twenty-five years building her studio, a chalet she designed, and a life full of food, art, and long dinners. Newly an empty nester, endlessly curious, and better company than most people half her age. Very active, and competes in HYROX. She wants a partner who is still building something of his own, equally adventurous, and nowhere near ready to slow down. Open to younger.
She sold her business years ago and has been making up for lost time since. Winters in Florida, summers in Toronto, and three consecutive Septembers cycling through France, most recently the Loire. She walks miles a day and cooks for a crowd. She is looking for a man in his sixties or seventies with his own curiosity, his own life, and the energy to keep pace.
Fifty years in the business and a body of work everybody has watched. Still developing projects, still in the office four days a week, and entirely uninterested in the word retirement. Reads constantly, collects photography, and keeps a standing dinner with friends he has had since his twenties. He is looking for a woman in her sixties or seventies with her own accomplishments and her own opinions, someone who wants companionship and travel rather than a quiet wind-down, and who is unfazed by celebrity or the lifestyle around it.
What it means to be in our matchmaker network
Our network is the pool of vetted singles we search when a private client hires us. Being in it costs nothing.
Our clients pay us to find them someone. You are potentially the someone. There is no fee, no package, and no obligation on your side. You complete a profile, we verify you, and you are considered for introductions when a client’s search lines up with who you are.
Your profile is never published and never searchable. It lives in our internal system and is seen by our matchmaking team.
This is why the caliber holds.
When we think we have found something, a matchmaker contacts you and tells you about the person. Their background, their character, why we believe it works. You say yes or no. Nobody’s number gets handed out.
We introduce you when there is a real reason to. Some members hear from us within a month, others wait longer for the right search to come through. Membership carries no guarantee that we will reach out, because we are actively working for the clients who have retained us.
Questions we get asked
Can you join a matchmaker’s database for free?
At Lyons Elite, yes. Membership in our network costs nothing. Our clients retain us to run a search on their behalf, and the people we introduce to those clients are never charged a fee.
How do matchmakers find matches for their clients?
Every Lyons Elite search begins inside our private network of vetted single professionals. When the right person is not already in it, our matchmakers go and find them, through twelve years of industry relationships and events in the cities where we work. Many of the people we introduce had never applied to a matchmaker and never intended to.
What is a matchmaker network?
It is a private database of single people a matchmaking firm has personally screened and verified. When a client retains the firm, their matchmaker searches that database first. Members are not customers of the firm and pay nothing to be in it.
Will my profile be visible to anyone?
No. Your profile is never published and never searchable. It sits inside our internal system and is seen by our matchmaking team.
How quickly will a matchmaker contact me?
Some members hear from us within a month. Others wait longer for a search that fits them. We reach out when a client’s criteria line up with who you are, and membership carries no promise that we will.
Do I get to decide before an introduction happens?
Always. A matchmaker calls you first and tells you about the person, their background, their character, and why we think it works. You say yes or no before anything is exchanged.
Which cities does Lyons Elite work in?
Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Vancouver, Montreal, Dallas and San Francisco, along with clients who move between them and members further afield. Geography matters less than fit, and we introduce across cities regularly.
How do I join the Lyons Elite matchmaker network?
Complete a profile. It takes about ten minutes, it costs nothing, and our team verifies every applicant before they are considered for an introduction.
What if I want to hire a matchmaker rather than join the network?
That is the client side of the firm and it starts with a private application. Clients retain Lyons Elite to run a dedicated search, with a named matchmaker and a defined process.
Ten minutes. No cost, no commitment.
